YAOI PALACE

This one was so intriguing it hit all my favorite toxic tropes + I like the story around it (like scifi/military setting almost). NGL I have been very curious about the twin aspect. So the moment Ilay appeared I was like LMFAO it’s you the toxic top. I love a bottom MC that is plain (look at my own OCS!!!). Taeui has a very forgiving heart. He forgives so many sus people. Okay but I love the obsessive top unfortunately. The arc where MC is ~running~ away in hiding from his obsessed top scenes are my weakness, especially when they find them. I also love that Taeui’s like “I don’t bottom” but you immediately know HE DOES. The love triangle w/Xinlu with the reveal that Xinlu is an obsessive top was something I enjoyed as well. I generally don’t enjoy love triangle tropes so I’m glad that one was kind of swept very fast. I found out there is a spin off so I will read… soon.

Is this one controversial LMAO it’s like… crazy. I can’t wait to do a full reread once the whole series is complete. I hope for Kim Dan’s happy ending!! I can see how people don’t want Joo Jaekyung and Kim Dan to end up together, lmao, cuz Joo Jaekyung was really horrible at some moments. But I live for a happy ending SOOO. I enjoyed the cute moments at the amusement park and when JJ finds KD cute. I enjoyed the beginning of the season when Kim Dan had quit and was living in another city.

OMG this was funny. Kang Shinjoo has my heart. I’m going to copy and paste what I wrote in my blog here. Kang Shinjoo is also one of of my favorite character types to read… he’s so funny… he’s crazy. It’s so funny that he’s a masochist too… He’s also a delusional rich character which I love. I think in the original series it was so funny when he said he would want to get the main pair together and then become their third. The author mentions that he gets away with it because he’s extremely *HANDSOME… which is true LOL. The dynamic with him and Myungtae doesn’t feel as fun but I’m happy for him to have his own ~happy ending~ regardless.

I STILL NEED TO FINISH READING BOOK 1. I’m mostly interested in Ilya x Shane’s story as it has lots of tropes that I like in my fandom sports fics. I think Shane having that gap moe of glasses and Ilya being in luvvv with that is so good. I can’t believe IRL ppl finally get to enjoy your average fujoshi experience, lol.

I also read the webnovel for this one. I like that the webtoon adaptation is more steamy since I don't think the main characters get together until like the epilogue in the novel. I love that Chaeyoon tried to just live a normal life but gets roped back into dungeon/hunter stuff. BL aside I'm really kind of ??? that they decided the lore of the dungeons??

OOO this is another one where read the webnovel too. Lots of high concept world building where there’s alternate canons/realities. I like the connection between the two main characters and how they have that shared history. I don’t think there’s much else to say cuz I just enjoy J being a bamf lol.

OMGGGGG classic stupid fwb and omegaverse!! An innocent omega being toyed with a playboy character… i luv. The current arc (finding out he’s pregnant and trying to hide it!!) is kind of one my favorite mpreg plotlines. I’m excited to see how characters react. I’m glad the childhood friend plotline was sort of resolved??? But now I need a side story for his happiness too lol.

Okay I could not stop laughing at all the faces in the 2nd season. This is great for having a comedic vibe!! I’m conflicted with the main character reincarnating into a youthful beautiful blond boy because it would have been fun to see a cute buff bottom. I think the misunderstanding of “Captain Commander” and every side character reacting to the misunderstanding is too funny.

I enjoy the Guideverse/Dungeon Break genres the more I read that trope LOL. This one had the obsessive top trope that I love. I actually read the webnovel too (which I think was more intense with the running away arc). I also love the MC hiding his backstory and having enough resources to hide himself away and make the top go crazy is soooooo satisfying.

omg this is such a classic chasing wife crematorium thing?? I got recced this by my friend when we had 6 hour yaoi yap session. I LOVE groveling. I love the moment when the person wronged has given up on their partner and they have to earn forgiveness. I’m thankful for side stories that show them being a family with kids. CUTE!!!

AHHH this is such a pandemic ??? era series, LOL. I constantly reread the last half of the story (when Dong-gyun leaves Jiwon) - Jiwon trying to earn DG’s forgiveness is so cute. I also forgot that this series is B&W because I remember the side stories so vividly. I love when Jiwon went crazy when DG called him hyung. UGH my heart was pounding when Jiwon realizes he loves Dong-gyun.

I’ve been a captive prince reader since like 2011 or something (back when it was posting on LJ). I remember when it as finally published and got a lot of attention, the slave aspect was kind of controversial. ANYWAYS I love CS Pacat and her stories (Dark Heir series is so so so good too). The tension of not knowing if Laurent knew about Damen’s identity was so nail bitey. Finally reading the third book gave me so many feelings.

This is one of the only manga I physically collect. Food is so cute!! I really like Fumi Yoshinaga’s minimalist style of art. I also love that this series portrays the day-to-day life between these two. Um and also the food is amazing. LOL. I have gotten so much inspiration from the set meals from this. I'm actually very behind in reading this but I assume that their relationship just gets even sweeter over time.

LITERALLY CLASSIC. Now that it’s 2026 can I mention how fucking crazy it is that Youka Nitta killed Katou off. I know it’s a spoiler, but WHAT. I remember reading the original publication and enjoying how Iwaki and Katou’s life and love were portrayed. And then u read Embracing Love: Alive and go… WHAT HAPPEND. What da fuck happened. That plotline haunts me because like okay it’s almost Banana Fish level of angst. How dare you. It’s kind of disappointing cuz that choice retroactively colored the rest of the manga. It sounds like I’m a hater but I really enjoyed Embracing Love LMAO.
